Meredith P. Graves is a Senior Analyst in the U.S. Government Accountability (GAO) Financial Markets and Community Investment team.
In this capacity she leads performance audits in the areas of small business, housing, and the financial system, providing reports and analysis to Congress to improve government operations and public policy. She served on a detail with the Democratic Staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business where her portfolio included lending and investment, with a focus on promoting access to capital in underserved communities. She is a member of GAO’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Prior to her career in federal service, Ms. Graves worked as a staff attorney in a Washington, DC litigation firm.
Ms. Graves has held bar association leadership roles at the local, regional, and national levels including serving as President of the Greater Washington Area Chapter (GWAC) affiliate of the National Bar Association. She volunteers in her community as a mentor in the College Bound Program and as a GWAC Foundation board member. She has a B.A. froM Hampton University and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.
