I started my legal career as a public defender, and moved on to civil practice, including debt, bankruptcy, and advocating for domestic abuse survivors. I spent several years working in government and private practice before starting my own firm in 2023. I have a bachelor's and master's degree from Hampton University and a JD from William H. Bowen School of Law.
In my free time, I am an active member of the Junior League of Washington and the National Hampton University Alumni Association, and volunteer with local organizations providing pro bono legal services.
I joined GWAC in 2009 and the GWAC Foundation, Inc. Board in 2017. I currently serve as the GWAC Foundation, Inc. Secretary and on the Scholarship Committee. I have previously served as the Chair of GWAC Foundation, Inc., and as Secretary and Webmaster for GWAC Bar Association.
